Anyone out there? I hope the silence and cold [at leasst here in Alaska] does not mean folks aren't grilling.
Anyone have any favorite tri-tip recipes? rubs? Merinades? Mops?

Re: Tri-Tip-Tips
Wed, February 7, 2007 - 1:47 PMIt was 6 degrees here last night. The cold doesn’t stop us much though. Last year we had 2+ feet of snow. I never bothered to shovel the driveway, but there was a nice clear path to the grill! The hard part is keeping the food hot after it's cooked, and on it's way back into the house. I'm working on a giant platter blanket... Like a tea cozy buy BIG and grease resistant.

Re: Tri-Tip-Tips
Wed, February 7, 2007 - 10:57 PMI do a simple marinade/rub
a lil guajilo pepper, dry garlic, cumin, new mexico, dry cilantro, oregano, salt, pepper... toast & grind. Rub the tri-tip with some oil. Rub in the spice, then squeeze 1 large citrus (orange/lemon/mandarin/etc). Sit overnight in the fridge. Use a nice grill with oak or oak/mesquite coals. Enjoy!
